The short answer is anything.
A homepage for your family. A hobby page. A special interests page,
the list is endless.
There are a few exceptions, which we should highlight here. In
most cases your free web space CANNOT be used for Business purposes ( but we
can suggest - reasonable monthly rates / hosting etc from reliable ISP's etc)
We will, where possible assist you in the setting up of a Business hosting
site, with your unique web address and plenty of space for your site to grow. Click

You cannot use your free web space to promote pornography of any
description, or promote racism or hate groups. You must also consider liable
law, we will guide and assist you in site content, it will keep you and us
above board !

Depending on your ISP you could have between 10 and 50Mb of free space.
An 8 page site with simple background, graphics and text is normally under 5Mb. We have designed Family Sites with 20 pages, 50 images, loads of text,
menus, graphics etc in well under 3Mb.
We use tried and tested software and methods to make your site user
friendly. A simple homepage, clear navigation and design, but you the customer
have the final say.
As far as content - you can have Images, Pictures or Designs of your
choosing, we have the systems in place to copy, source or design from scratch
basically anything you desire.
We will by arrangement and consultation with you, make and process images
for your site.
For example - Your Family Homepages - we will attend your home by
arrangement and take digital photographs of Family, house, cat, dog or pony -
Quickly process them, give you the opportunity to select, amend and finalize
your choices, then incorporate the images into your chosen site
design.
Alternatively and along with the above, if you have images, old pictures
etc, we can digitally scan and enhance them into your site.
We will accommodate you in your choice of images, design etc, the only
consideration is time and patience. If you request a grand design, it will
only take a little longer.
You decide the Colour, Background, Text, Menus and Images on YOUR site.
We will provide samples of backgrounds, text , navigation buttons etc, from
a catalogue of thousands. If we don't have it, we will source it or design
it..... again it's your choice.
After the initial design and successful uploading of your site onto the
World Wide Web - the choice is yours.
If you are happy with the project, it will become your property to do with
as you please. Remember the site is yours, we retain no
control over it and your not tied into any long term contract.
We will provide a hardcopy on CD of the complete contents of your
site
( Images, Text, Menus, Pages etc ) just as it appears on the Internet.
You're in Control
You can load this content into a program, such as Microsoft FrontPage and
update, add or amend any content yourself. Then upload it using another
program ( we will explain this later ) onto the web, thus giving you complete
control over your site. If you are reasonably conversant with MS Word
/ Publisher etc, updating your own site is fairly straightforward.
We'll Help
If you wish us to maintain your site, we will be more than happy to
accommodate you. Be it the occasional update, Christmas, Birthday or Special
events update or a change of idea or design - we will do it for you and
arrange the schedule, costs, and material with you. As always you will have
the final say and time to view and consider the design.
In ALL cases you have complete control and ownership
of the site, we will never amend any content without your prior approval.
What we Use
We normally create sites using Microsoft FrontPage. We use a program called
Terrapin FTP to upload your site onto your Web Server its quick and fairly
straightforward to use. If you take control of YOUR site, we would
recommend this program ( it can be tested free for 30 days, then costs between
£19 and £25 to purchase outright) It comes with very good instructions and
wizards to assist you

We have Digital Still and Video camera equipment. Scanners, Card readers
etc, together with access to other facilities, such as slide scanning,
laminating etc.
We use many well known image processing programs to enhance and design
images.
All this and a catalogue of thousands of images, backgrounds and textures
for you to choose
We were going to make a standard charge for web design on a page by page
basis - but how big is a web page?. ( even we can't answer that one) and
how much time to source, create and finalize the job ?
Obviously it's a time thing. A quick one page web presence with plain
text etc is a 30 minute job. Your social club 30 page web site with photo
visits, processing, amendments etc can take quite a bit longer.
As a standard, prices will start at £100. But we are open to
negotiation with small individual sites.
An eight page, complete site with standard background, menus etc from our
catalogue will be Priced according to content between £150 and £300
Where we are required to take, process and design images etc we will
consult you in price scale in respect of the time required. As always the
design, content, timescale and price will be given to you right from the start
- no extra costs - no hidden charges, just an honest arrangement and price.
We will, for customers, who require or request our continued involvement in
maintaining the site, arrange discounted prices.
No large legal documents filled with hidden or obscure jargon. Just a
simple document from us, outlining the job, the timescale and the costs. It
will be OUR arrangement with YOU, honest and clear and always open to a fair
negotiation to suit your needs.

What we require
All you need do is contact us - phone or email and we'll discuss your
needs.
It would be helpful if you know your ISP, type of System you have and
software you use.
After our initial contact and agreement all we need from you is your full
ISP details, username and password, this will allow us to upload your site on
completion of the job. You may have these details on your initial agreement or
they will be available via your ISP's homepage etc We
suggest that you don't send any passwords via email, just any details
we initially request. We will phone and obtain password information if
required
At no time will any of these details be held on an unsecured system. A full
audit trail will be made available to you of personal details held and removed
at your request. We will NEVER pass personal information or Passwords via
Email or Internet

Areas Covered 
While we are located on the web and can function and interact with you via
e-mail, phone and by mail, We are restricted geographically for site work in
the Central Scotland belt.

But we are open to negotiation - if you like our work, trust us etc then

BUSINESS USERS
Your Free Space cannot normally be used for promoting a Business, but after successful
use of two large hosting companies we can recommend them to small - medium
users. Namesco and the 1and1 Company offer very reasonable rates for
hosting your site. Now there is a great offer at

at £40 for 500MB webspace and domain name registration.
There are many more hosting companies and we are constantly looking for the
most reliable and cost effective.
Costs vary but are normally between £40 to £100
per year, with some discounts that are both Web and Magazine advertised. Some of
these companies include registration of your web name, ie YOUR COMPANY.CO.UK.
We can set up all this for you, if it appears a bit too daunting. We'll give
you options and copy links to sites for you to compare.
After agreement , the design and upload is straight forward. No hassle and
cheaper than advertising over a year in a local paper.
You can now get that My Company.co.uk on your letterheads, business cards,
vehicles to further promote your company.
